Our Policy on Vendors & Sponsors

Short version: ArkanSec doesn't play favorites with companies, and we don't hand out the mic for sales pitches. Here's the longer version.

We're Vendor & Company Agnostic

ArkanSec isn't here to sell you anything, and we don't let anyone else sell you anything either. We're not affiliated with, owned by, or beholden to any security vendor, product, or company. Talks, discussions, and community activities are about sharing knowledge — not moving product.

No Sales Pitches

If you're speaking at ArkanSec, keep it educational. Walk us through a technique, a tool you built, a lesson learned, a CTF writeup — great. A thinly-veiled pitch for your company's platform, "book a demo" slides, or content that reads like a webinar for your employer's product — not great, and we'll ask you to rework it (or we won't schedule it).

Sponsors Are Awesome — Seriously

None of this happens without support. We gladly accept sponsorships and donations from companies who want to help keep the lights on, food on the table, and swag in hands. We'll thank you for it — shout-outs, a logo on our site or slides, mentions at events. Sponsors deserve real recognition.

But Sponsorship Doesn't Buy a Pitch

Being a sponsor gets you our gratitude and a spot on our list of who's supporting the community. It doesn't get you a mic to pitch your product, a guaranteed speaking slot, or editorial control over our content. We keep those separate on purpose — it's the only way "vendor-neutral" actually means something.

Our Social Media Isn't a Billboard

This goes for our Facebook, Twitter/X, and LinkedIn too. We don't post content on behalf of companies, and we don't allow companies to post, comment, or DM their way into promoting a product, service, or event on our accounts. That applies whether you're a sponsor or not — sponsorship gets you a thank-you, not posting access or a promo slot in our feed.

Got something genuinely relevant to the community — a free training, a CTF, a job opening? Email us and we'll decide if and how to share it, on our terms, in our voice.
